Geelong Indigenous Nursery prides itself on producing quality local native plants appropriate to the growing conditions in and around Geelong and environs. Plant materials such as cuttings, seeds and rhizomes are sourced from the local wild native plant population. These local native plants are grown for specialist purposes such as revegetation of degraded waterways or repopulating decimated farm colonies. New uses, such as the establishment of wildlife corridors and parks have increased the demand for native plants which will survive in our varied climate. Equally important is the sustainable use of water for household gardens and community landscapes. Using local native plants that have proven themselves as hardy, yet aesthetically pleasing has seen the increase of use of species typically found in the area.
